Born in 1992 in Xinjiang, China, Jiang currently lives and works in London.
Jiang is a contemporary artist working in Chinese Gongbi (⼯笔) painting. Her practice dwells in the reconstructs narratives related to cultural memory and abstraction of individual images.
Through the reappearance of traditional Chinese painting elements, myths and literary metaphors, Jiang reaches out to the collective knowledge and experience of viewers and creates an immersive spectacle on the edge of dreams. The artist has always been fascinated by the possibility of symbols; people with the absence of facial features, extractions of daily objects and memory figures, theatric stage perspectives, constitute a blurred borderline between illusion and reality.
