Lorena Levi

Lorena Levi is a London based narrative painter. Her practice is research based using the internet; through podcasts, published psychoanalytical papers, chatroom sites and reddit forums, to create works that merge the traditional practice of oil painting with current technology and subject matter. Levi’s collages found images to create imagined narratives that display her unique ability to capture and create intricate and intriguing psychological relationships between her sitters.

Graduating from Edinburgh University with an MA in Fine art 2021, Levi now works in V22 in London. She has won The Astaire Prize 2021, has been awarded the Overall Winner of critically acclaimed The Jacksons Painting Prize 2022 and the NHS Lothian Tonic Arts award 2023. Levi is part of Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2022 as well as The RSA New contemporaries 2023. She has shown at The
Marlborough Gallery, M&B Casa in Milan, Paul Stolper Gallery, the South London Gallery and the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh. Levi’s work has been profiled by Hypebae, Plinth Magazine, FWORD Magazine, and Why Now World, Odda magazine and has appeared on Soho radio.
